Handels Impact Innovation Challenge 2025

Handels Impact Innovation Challenge is a competition for students at the School of Business, Economics and Law in Gothenburg who want to turn their ideas into reality and contribute to a more sustainable society. The challenge is organized in collaboration between the School, the student union HHGS, the career fair GADDEN, and Venture Cup Sweden, with Ernströmgruppen as the main sponsor.
The purpose is to inspire students to develop innovative business ideas that address key societal challenges. Entries are divided into four categories: Environmental, Social, Governance, and Project.
Throughout the competition, participants have the opportunity to present their concepts to a jury and to network with both industry representatives and fellow entrepreneurial students. The final takes place during the GADDEN career fair, where the winners are announced at the gala dinner.
Previous winning ideas highlight the competition’s diversity – ranging from microalgae-based fertilizers that reduce greenhouse gas emissions to digital governance tools for crime prevention.
