Handelsspexet
Handelsspexet (est. 1954) is the School of Economics’s theatrical society!
We are a association whose purpose and goal is to set up a farcical music performance every year that is about a famous (more or less) historical person.
Spexet is HHGS’s largest association, and consists of many different groups who support the journey towards the premiere in May.
The groups are: Marketing & Events, Costumes & Makeup, Ensemble, Stage building, Pyrotechnics, Lights & Sound, Band, Acapella arrangements, Stage directions (director, choreographer, song director), and Script writing.
If you want to know more, send us an e-mail! Most of the recruitment occurs in conjunction with Handels’ introductory weeks in Aug.-Sept., but sometimes there’s a need for more people later on in the year too.
HOW TO APPLY
As it stands now, “Handelsspexet” does not follow the student union’s fiscal year and thus has its admissions in the fall semester. The recruitment is done through an application form which is available on our social media during the application period. And this is usually in September.
In addition to the form, an audition is also held in connection with the recruitment! During the audition, you will have the opportunity to showcase your skills in areas such as acting and singing. All auditions are private and we will be attended by this year’s artistic directors, general, singing directors and directors. Your audition will last approximately 15 minutes.
Keep an eye out on our social media for when we open our recruitment!
