Who we are

At Business Sweden, we do management consulting with a higher purpose: to contribute to the welfare of society by accelerating the growth of Swedish companies abroad and by helping international companies to invest and expand in Sweden. In Kuala Lumpur, we have a great team in place with many years of experience from a range of sectors.

What we do

Business Sweden is partly owned by the Swedish Government and private industry, a partnership that provides access to contacts and networks at all levels.

Our Kuala Lumpur office is part of the South and Southeast Asia Team, working in close cooperation with the other offices in the regions, such as Singapore, Hanoi and New Delhi.

We help Swedish companies expand in Asia by advising them on market dynamics, local partners, regulatory landscape, M&A and more. We cover several markets and industries – from life sciences, energy, transportation, and telecom to retail, food and fintech!

Business Sweden Malaysia

Business Sweden opened its office in Kuala Lumpur in 2005. We offer local support and advise Swedish companies how to strategically expand their business in the area. Malaysia has long been a central trade partner for Sweden. With a stable business climate, strong growth and a strategic location in Southeast Asia, it is the perfect place for Swedish companies that want to expand to other parts in the region.

The country is multicultural, there is an openness to do business with international companies, and English is the natural business language. Many companies choose to start their Southeast Asia adventure in Malaysia, as setting up operations is easy and relatively cost efficient.

Why internship at Business Sweden?
